Finally, Electronic Arts officially confirmed that Battlefield Mobile has begun testing in multiple regions. It is the first open beta released by Electronic Arts although there was closed beta testing before this open beta.
Back in April 2021, Electronics Arts confirmed that they are working on Battlefield Mobile and set a 2022 release date. Unfortunately, this open beta released by EA is not a worldwide rollout. It is going to be the first-ever game by the Battlefield franchise in the mobile gaming market. But this will not be limited to only smartphones, instead, the company planned to release the game on tablet devices as well.
As of now, this open beta is being tested in selected regions only. These countries are the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore. New regions will also be eligible for this open beta in the future as confirmed by FAQ on the Battlefield website.
There should not be any surprise that with Battlefield Mobile, the Electronics Arts is breaking into the mobile game market, we have already seen Call of Duty Mobile which is a huge hit. One can’t deny that the mobile game market is booming so fast, PC gaming franchises are breaking into the mobile game market.
It will be interesting to see how well this game performs in the mobile game market. There are already lots of gamers including me are eagerly waiting for this game to be released on mobile phones.
